We are sad to announce that on December 17, 2021, at the age of 89, Janet Sershen-Lachowitzer of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, born in Early, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Henry O. Johnson and Lillian Johnson (Stephan); her former husband Robert D. Sershen; her husband Arverd Lachowitzer of Sioux Falls, SD; her children, Cathy Scherer (David) of Brandon, SD, Steven Sershen (Nancy) of Sioux Falls, SD and Daniel Sershen (Teresa) of Overland Park, KS; her grandchildren, Peter Scherer (Jeri), Matthew Scherer (Rachel), Heidi Wutz (Brian), Andrew Scherer, Nicholas Sershen (Gina), Janie Rolloff (Brandon) and Mary Kate Pohland (John); and her sister Neta Oelke of Waseca, MN.. She was also cherished by 15 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
