He was predeceased by: his siblings, George, John, Ray, Nellie Wallace, Olga Dertien and Amy Mosher.
He is survived by: his wife Merlynn Matejka; his children, Patti, James, Jr. of Armour, SD, Patricia Roth (Mike) of Sioux Falls, SD, Elizabeth of Sioux Falls, SD, Mary Akkerman (Dan) of Sioux Falls, SD and Robert (Saniel) of Great Falls, MT; his grandchildren, Dylan Rezek, Audrey Akkerman, Evelyn Akkerman and Aris Rose Rezek; and his siblings, Alyce Baker of Jacksonville, FL and Larry Rezek of Redfield, SD. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
