He is survived by: his wife Connie Brandriet of Sioux Falls; his children, Raphael (Tammy) of Sioux Falls, Stephen (Kim) of St. Robert, MO, David (Martina) of Kerrville, TX, James Jr. of Springfield, Matthew (Holly) of New Port Beach, CA, Mary (Jesse) of Mustang, OK, Daniel (Katey) of Sioux Falls and Joseph (Sammie) of Milton, WA; his siblings, Ronald Geraets (Kathleen) of Ft. Collins, CO, George Geraets Jr. of Sioux Falls, Richard Geraets (Jean) of Sioux Falls, Marie Kelm of Sioux Falls and Lori Clark of Sioux Falls; and his sister-in-law Laura Geraets of Dell Rapids. He is also survived by his 24 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (606 E 8th St, Dell Rapids, SD 57022). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to St. Mary Catholic Church and Schools.
