He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Shaffer and Myrtle Shaffer; his brothers, Dick and Bob; his granddaughter Jessica; and his great grandchild Eliyas.
He is survived by: his child Marne; his wife Marne; his children, Ruth Shaffer (Will Hansen), Paul Shaffer and Diane Perkins; and his grandchildren, Jason, Kevin and Anna. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and dear friends.
