Harvey J. Schmidt Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 16, 2024, at the age of 92, Harvey J. Schmidt of Sioux Falls, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey D. Schmidt and Edith Schmidt (Bruns); and his sister Eva Stubbe. He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Kaye Schmidt of Austin, Texas, Bill Schmidt of Jacksonville, Alabama and Lori Baird (Todd) of Flower Mound, Texas; his grandchildren, Alex Baird (Ali), Eric Baird (Melissa) and Andrea Bremner (Adam); and his great grandchildren, Blaise Baird, Luke, Charlie Baird and Brady Bremner.
He played regularly until the 2020 pandemic and a bad knee finally slowed him down when he was 88 years old.
