He was predeceased by: his parents, Cad Waite and Jeanette Waite (Campbell); his wife Elsie Niemann; his siblings, Dorland Waite and Donna Lee Gamelin; and his son-in-law Larry Husman.

He is survived by: his children, Vicki Husman of Madison, SD, Blair Waite (Donna) of Custer, SD and Nancy Rohlena of Sioux Falls, SD. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
