He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Prouty; and his children, Karen Schwarting, Bruce Hanssen (JoDee), Craig Hanssen (Cindy) of Madison, SD and Eric Hanssen (Jamie) of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
