He was predeceased by: his parents, Gust Knecht and Melinda Knecht (Beitelspacher); and his brother Duane Knecht. He is survived by: his wife Carol Knecht; his children, Randy Knecht (Tamara), Rhonda Lind (Dan) and Rick Knecht (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Kaytlin Zdroik (Dillon), Samantha Young (Matthew), Kelsey Knecht, Ricky Knecht (Delaney), Alyssa Lind, Connor Knecht, Evan Lind, Dylan Knecht and Gavin Knecht; his great grandchildren, Adalynn, Shiloh and Charlotte; and his siblings, Jeanette Duenwald, Clifford Knecht (Sharon), Sally Perman and Pam Dahme (Al).
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Parkinson's Disease Association (APDA).
