He was predeceased by: his wife Inez Lundquist; his siblings, Durward Meyer, Camden Meyer (Marie), Elaine Meyer (Edith), Leora Rearick (Clinton), Lorna Poppen (Henry), Caryl Lynn Poppen (Cal) and Norman Meyer; and his sister-in-law Marjorie Meyer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jane Higgins (David) of Castle Rock, CO, Julie Jordahl (Paul) of Sioux Falls, SD and Jill Mathers (Phillip) of Butte, MT; his brother Kerwin Meyer; his sister-in-law Mirium Meyer; his grandchildren, Jarrod Johnson, Bardon Higgins (Jenny), Connor Higgins, Adam Dickinson (Suh Kim), Meredith Van Lier (Jean) and Amy Lord (David); his great grandchildren, Millie Lord, Harlow Lord, Lea Van Lier and Elle; his stepgrandchildren, Brent Jordahl (Sadie), Nathan Jordahl (Megan) and Bethany Hansen (Garrett); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Lauren Jordahl, Rachel Jordahl, Calli Jordahl, Trey Jordahl, Meika Jordahl, Mackenzie Hansen and Rylee Hansen.
The family suggest in lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the First United Methodist Church in Sioux Falls or South Dakota Braille and Talking Book Library.
