He was predeceased by: his parents, George Klinkhammer and Mae Klinkhammer (Gassman); his siblings-in-law, Walter, Alice Calmus, Janet Klinkhammer and Gary Haven; and his nephew Scott Haven.
He is survived by: his son Greg Austin (Claudia) of Minneapolis, MN; his wife Patty Calmus; his children, Tobin (Nancy) of Sioux Falls, SD, Kain (Emily) of Hot Springs, SD and Mandy of Bennington, NE; his grandchildren, Creighton, Felicity, Isaac, Jaidyn, Gabrielle, Rylie, Theodore, Calvin, Anna, George, Violet and Ophelia Klinkhammer; and his siblings, Rick (Mary) of Tea, SD, Terry (Donna) of Howard, SD, Jim (Kim) of Howard, SD, Lanny of Howard, SD, Kim (Phyllis) of Howard, SD, Daron (Sharon) of Howard, SD, Paul (Tami) of Witchita, KS, Lynette Klinkhammer of Lewisville, TX and Amy Noonan (Steve) of Howard, SD. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews, and great-great nieces, and nephews.
