He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Bassett and Gertrude Bassett (Harms); his wife Barbara Bassett; and his siblings, Bob Bassett, Joe Bassett, Gene Bassett and Bertha Tieman.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Regnier (Mike), Troy Bassett (Colleen) and Mark Bassett (Catherine); and his grandchildren, Matthew Regnier (Tera), Seth Regnier (Katy), Travis Bassett (Kayla), Tyler Bassett (Melissa), Tara Carruthers, James Bassett, Ryan Bassett and Lily Bassett.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Humboldt Community Center (201 S Main St, Humboldt, SD 57035).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the VA Adaptive Sports Program or the VA Ride Share Program.
