She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas W. Duarte and Margaret Duarte (Schmitz); her brother Thomas P. Duarte; her grandson Michael Stevens; and her daughter Carolyn Thompson.
She is survived by: her husband Art Stevens; her daughter Cheryl Stevens-Pool (Chuck) of Clermont, Florida; her grandchildren, Bob Stevens of Brandon, SD, Laura Elizabeth Stevens-Chopin, Alex Pool, Taylor Thompson, Rachel Thompson and Will Thompson; her siblings, Mona Geidel (Dave) of Parkston, SD, Carmen Neumayr (Don) and John Duarte (Lorie); her niece Sara Siemonsma (Vance); and her daughter Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in her memory to the Feeding South Dakota organization or Hungry Hearts of Sioux Falls.
