He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Gertrude Johansson (Hetrick) and William Johannson; his wife Jennie Kramer; his daughter Diana; and his siblings, Vida, Wanda, William, Edwin and Gabe.
He is survived by: his sibling Jerry; his son Gerald Jr. (Sandra) of Garretson, SD; his son-in-law Lyle (Chris) of Spring Valley, MN; his children, Carla (Doug) of Sioux Falls, SD and Mark (Deanna) of Sioux Falls, SD; his godson Richard Herting; his grandchildren, Sam, Max, Sara, Brian, Cody, Jessy and Landon; and his great grandchildren, Zoe, Finn, Annabelle, Hailey, Addison, Kylie, Zoey, Jace and Adalyn.
Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation to the Granite Threshermen.
