He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Houtsma and Minnie Houtsma (Baker); his wife Arlene Keenan (Leu); his son Wayne Keenan; and his siblings, Gerauld, Alvin, Darwin, Leroy and Matilda Dykema.
He is survived by: his former wife Helen VanderGrift; his sons, Gaylon Houtsma (Lisa) of Brandon, SD and Dale Keenan (Terese) of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandchildren, Jada Keenan (Kyle Lunde), Kayla Houtsma (Christian Krejci), Gavin Houtsma, Nevaeh Keenan, Faith Keenan, Scott Burtis and Logan Burtis; his brother Tony Houtsma (Gloria) of Grand Rapids, MI; and his sisters-in-law, Bernice Houtsma of Worthington, MN, Phyllis Houtsma of Mora, MN, Pearl Tull of Sioux Falls, SD, Allie Fodness (Chuck) of Surprise, AZ and Madeline Houtsma of Visalia, CA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
