He was predeceased by: his parents, Isao Niimi and Tameko Niimi (Nakamura); his wife Phyllis; and his brother Ted. He is survived by: his daughter Nanci Newstrom (Hank Davis); his granddaughter Anna Davis of Hobe Sound, FL; his siblings, Tak Niimi of Portland, OR and Alice Ronne (Art) of Vancouver, WA; and his nieces, Barbara Niimi of San Diego, CA and Nancy Lindsay (Jim) of Henderson, NV.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the First United Methodist Church Foundation in Sioux Falls, SD.
