He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfin Petterson and Bernice Petterson (Hodne); his former wife Diane Wright-Ovre; his brother Carter Petterson; his nephew Brad Petterson; and his brother-in-law Ken Adams.
He is survived by: his wife Nell Petterson of Sioux Falls; his sons, Kelly Petterson (Tanya) of Sioux Falls and Korry Petterson (Kim) of Pittsburgh, PA; his stepchildren, Ben Roach of Mankato, MN, Rick Roach (Kim) of Sioux Falls, Michelle Wells (Eric) of Sioux Falls and Mike Roach (Vickie) of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Laura, Andrew Petterson, Alyssa Kaper, Alex Petterson, Shandi Wells, Christine Wells (Dillin), Seth, Nick Roach, Alyssa Fallon (Don), Jack, Sam Roach and Rachel Roach; his great grandchildren, Alesa Steele, Favian Wells and Jonah Wells; his siblings, Richard Petterson of Canton, SD and Diane Adams of Sioux Falls; and his sister-in-law Gaylene Petterson of Brandon, SD..
