He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyman Thompson and Judith Thompson (Oien); and his nephews, Todd and Michael Thompson. He is survived by: his children, Paul Thompson of Baltic, SD, Shelley Heinemann (Larry), Tracey Marple (Fred), Hans Thompson (Laci), Bjorn Thompson (Kelly), Prairie and Rachel Schock (Mark); and his siblings, Lyle Thompson (Carlene) of Pipestone, MN, Dale Thompson (Judy), David Thompson, Steve Gunderson (Deb) and Joan Lerdal (Paul). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 1 great grandson.
