It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fern Olesen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on September 6, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnt Mauseth and Pearl Mauseth (Davidson); her parents-in-law, Chris and Rosie Olesen; her siblings, Gladys, Violet, Helen, Frida, Lenard, Ronald, Harold (Bernice), Delbert and LeRoy; and her daughters-in-law, Jackie (Duane) and Barb (Larry).
She is survived by: her cousin Wesley Olesen (Jenola); her children, Larry of Turkey Ridge, Duane of Rapid City, S. D. and Lerae of Sioux Falls; her grandchildren, Kristi Nayak (Biswajit) of Sioux Falls, Julie Viet (Matt) of Parker, S. D. and Lance Olesen (Elizabeth) of Turkey Ridge; and her great grandchildren, Luke, Levi Viet, Paige and Clint Olesen.
