He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Simantel; his brother Ernie; his siblings-in-law, Helen Vavruska and Ed Sternhagen; his nephew Dennis Sternhagen; and his parents, Adolph Vavruska and Anna Vavruska.
He is survived by: his children, Barb Fish (Gary) of Brandon and Mark (Sharon Barnett) of Tupelo, MS; his grandchildren, Taylor Fish (Maria) of Victoria, MN and Bailey Moore (Spencer) of Sioux Falls; his great grandchildren, Sullivan, Callum, Elsie Fish and Otis Moore; his sister Margie Sternhagen of Dante; and his nephews, Gary, Doug Sternhagen, Ernie, Ed, Dave and Steven Vavruska. He is also survived by his family, friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Bohemian Presbyterian Cemetery.
