He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Hassel and Lucille Hassel; his wife Beverly Hassel; and his son-in-law Mark. He is survived by: his uncle Hans Wangen; his children, Greg Hassel (Jeanne) of Sioux Falls, SD and Deb Keenan of Lincoln, NE; his grandchildren, Jared Keenan, Jeremy Keenan, Claire Hassel, Joslyn Keenan, Anna Smith (Jake), Jennifer Lansman (Trey) and Maria Hassel; his great grandchildren, Jadyn, Adley, Weston and Lauren; and his friend Elaine Peterson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home (6200 W 41st St, Sioux Falls, SD 57106). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church (1300 S Sertoma Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57106).
