He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest S. Sr. Tyler and Cleo Tyler (Levenhagen); and his siblings, Clyde Tyler, Bill Tyler and Faye Wade.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Mae Jacobson; his children, Debra Beving (Nathan) of Cedar Falls, IA, Kevin Tyler (Cindy) and Steve Tyler (Linda) of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Scott, Madison Tyler, Spencer Tyler, Haley and Mackenzie Beving; and his sister Jessie Tschetter of Spearfish, SD.. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
