He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie; his daughter Nancy; and his grandson Nathaniel. He is survived by: his grandson Luke; his children, Cindy Kirkeby of Vermillion and Chris (Sandra) of Sioux Falls; his grandson Daniel Kirkeby (Renata); his great grandchildren, Miro, Thales of New York, Jensen Carlsen (Amy), Judah, Jedidiah of Houston and Luke Carlsen of Los Angeles, California; his stepgrandchildren, Cameron Cook of Pierre, SD, Derek Cook and Candace Cook of Fullerton, CA; and his close friend LaVon Hines. He is also survived by his three children, three grandsons, and four great-grandsons.
