It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Erna Decker of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, born in Menno, South Dakota, who passed away on January 16, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Neuharth and Katherina Neuharth (Mehlhaf); her husband LaVerne Decker; her siblings, Leon, Ray, Elmer, Marvin, Phil, Bea, Alma, Ida, Verlinda, Viona, Elda and Norma; and her son-in-law Asa Candler VI.

She is survived by: her children, Patty (Ken) of Sioux Falls, SD, Paulette Candler of Atlanta, GA and Lee Decker of Humboldt, SD; her grandchildren, Mary Schilling (Randy) of Sioux Falls, SD, Luke Decker (Amy) of Sioux Falls, SD, Asa Candler VII (Gaylie) of Atlanta, GA, Callan Candler of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Daniel Candler of Atlanta, GA; her great grandchildren, Rilyn, Bram Schilling, Clara, Lincoln, Eli Decker, Asa VIII and Bayne Candler; and her sister Arlene Walz of Menno, SD..

Due to COVID, a private family service was held with burial beside her husband in the Black Hills National Cemetery.
