He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Durst and Alice Durst Sr. (Lang); his wife Beverly Jean Lee; his great grandchildren, Paige Gaukel and Rory Yasat; and his siblings, Harry Jr., Ralph, Robert, Wilbur, Frank, Maureen Wagner, Dorothy Swenson and Ruth Toland.
He is survived by: his daughters, Diana Gunderson (Jon) of Mission Hill, Paula Yasat (Kamil) of Vermillion, Alicia Cornemann (Dave) of Yankton and Brenda Kay Durst of Yankton; and his brother Donald Durst of Cody. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.
