He is survived by: his wife Delores Jean Carstensen; his children, Mark Chapin (Cyndy) of Palmdale, CA, Melanie Schroeder (Richard), Marla Howard (David Fernandez) of Trinity, FL and Myra Koerner (Bill); his grandchildren, Amanda Clarke (Brendon) of Toronto, CAN, Brandon Howard of Tampa, FL, Joshua Chapin of Palmdale, CA, Jazmyn Colon (Luis) of Trinity, FL, Hannah Chapin of Palmdale, CA, Austin Kusler of Philadelphia, PA, Adam Kusler, Aaron Kusler (Sydney), Dillon Schroeder and Beau Koerner Sioux Falls; his great grandchildren, Avyanna Colon and Luis Colon of Trinity, FL; and his sister Carol Lautt (Leroy).
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Peace Lutheran Church (5509 W 41st St, Sioux Falls, SD 57106).
