He was predeceased by: his parents, Veryl Benson and Ann Benson (Lange); his wife Sharon Kaye Starns; and his son-in-law Tom Roach. He is survived by: his daughters, Lori Wilson (Rob) of Chino, CA, Teri McGill (Dave) of Omaha, NE and Sue Katt (Mark) of Esko, MN; his grandchildren, Tyler Roach (Brooke), Tara Roach, Trevor Roach (Stephanie), Mitchell Katt, Desiree Villanueva (Irvin), Kailee Deadrick (Kory), Brandon Wilson and Brittany Wilson; and his siblings, Shirley Glascock (Lyle) and Keith Benson (Raejean). He is also survived by seven great grand-children, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
