She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Alfred Isaac and Delia Christina Nicholas of Ree Heights; her sons, Douglas of Florida and Joel (Sherry) of Albion Nebraska; her brother Kenneth Nicholas; her daughters-in-law, Gaylene Haber and Brenda Haber; her husband Donald; and her children, Daphne and Denton Haber. She was also cherished by 9 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Donald had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's while in Tucson so they moved to Sioux Falls and lived next door to Denton and Gaylene starting at the end of that summer.
