With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donna Martinell of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, born in Estelline, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 29, 2024 at the age of 80. As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Donna may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Hintz and Hazel Hintz (Lenning); her brother Dennis; and her grandson Victor. She is survived by: her husband Darwin "Marty" Martinell; her children, Lisa Martinell of Sioux Falls, TroyLyn Joseph (Kenneth) of Estelline, Melissa Fish (Guy) of Henry, LaDonna Martinell of Canova, Trisha Martinell (Kent Glesne) of Sioux Falls and Darwin Martinell Jr. (Amber) of Sioux Falls; and her siblings, Karen Paulsen of Watertown and Arlo Hintz (Vicki) of Watertown. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Volga Community Center (109 Samara Ave, Volga, SD 57071).
