She was predeceased by: her mother Ella Poppenga; her husband Virgil Dykstra; and her in-laws, John, Minnie Dykstra, Harold Gangestad, Ronald and Mary Ellen Dykstra.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Dykstra (Anne) of Decorah, IA, Cynthia Ziegler (Joe) of Estero, FL, Gaylon Dykstra of Centreville, VA and Craig Dykstra (Judy) of Tea, SD; her granddaughter Michelle Murphy (Sean); her children, Kelly Steever of Naples, FL, Daniel Dykstra (Rita) of Decorah, IA, Alise Thomas (Remi), Antananarivo and Dacia Munson (Andrew) of Decorah, IA; her great grandchildren, Lauren Murphy, Cole Murphy, Zoie May, Caleb Dykstra, Declan Dykstra, Emerson Dykstra, Addison Dykstra, Henry Thomas, Edwin Thomas, Bennett Monson and Everett Monson; and her sister-in-law Ione Gangestad.
