With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Swenson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on June 28, 2023 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Swenson and Agnes Swenson (Johnson); his brother Lawrence; and his stepchildren, Sheryl Hickle and Warren Stearns.
He is survived by: his former wife Mildred Meyer; his wife Irene Stearns; his daughters, Diane Swenson and Debra Vought (Joseph) of Gettysburg, PA; his grandchildren, Kristin Vought (Ben Siebert) of Gettysburg, PA and Jonathan Vought of Richmond, VA; his great grandchild Luke Siebert; his stepchildren, David Stearns (Rachel), Gary Stearns (Janet), Lois Cass (Wesley) and Joel Stearns; his stepgrandchildren, Sara MacKenzie (Ryan), Lisa Smith (Randy), Jaime Hoskins (Michael) and Kayla Stearns; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Oliver, Ivy Smith, Colin, Ian and Lydia MacKenzie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Our Savior's Lutheran Church or Benton Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.
