He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Nelson and Juanita Nelson (Swenson). He is survived by: his wife Lois I. Kauffman; his sons, Jeffrey (Cynthia) and Douglas (Kathy); his grandchildren, Mathew Nelson (Sara), Anna Suckow (Brian), Peter Nelson (Laurie) and Rachel Junker (Joshua); his great grandchildren, Mara, Austine, Nora, Elsie, Theodore, Edison and Collins; and his siblings, Merle and Marjory.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Good Samaritan Luther Manor.
