Donald Lee Merrill Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 26, 2022, at the age of 87, Donald Lee Merrill of Sioux Falls, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Merrill and Edna Merrill (Hink); his stepmother Katherine Merrill; his siblings, Robert, Shirley and Beverly; his son-in-law Michael Nelson; and his close friend Jack McElrath.
He is survived by: his son Don; his wife Alyce; his children, Nancy Gerdes (Mark), Donna Merrill Nelson, Jeff Merrill (Tracey) and Jamie Merrill Moores (Gregg); his great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jack, Samson, Max, Isabelle, Blake, Blaise and Elijah; his siblings, Dick Merrill (Lois), Glen Merrill (Carol) and JoAnn Espeland (Derald); his sister-in-law Corene DeSmet (Rich); and his pet Casey.
In lieu of flowers, all memorials received by the family will be directed towards the ongoing medical/rehab care of an SDSU rodeo team member and McCrossan Boys Ranch.
