He is survived by: his wife Janice Fischer of Sioux Falls, SD; his children, Donald James Fischer Jr. (Janet) of Sioux Falls, SD, Jill Elaine Fischer of Sioux Falls, SD and Michele Van Buren (Matt) of Glendale, CA; his grandchildren, Max Bell (Katie), Luke Fischer (Anne), Jacob Fischer, Joshua Fischer (Grace), Regina Suddarth (Grant), Theresa Deschler (Jacob) and Anna Fischer; his great grandchildren, Maria, Samuel, Theodore, Lewis, Edith Fischer, Evelyn, Lillian, Mackenzie Bell and Clare Suddarth; and his sister Pat Wehrkamp of Sioux Falls, SD.
