He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Conway Carlson and Lois Ione Carlson (Ellefson); his in-laws, Elmer and Joanne Ymker; his brother Gary Carlson; his nephew John Carlson; and his sister-in-law Joyce DeKock (Ymker).
He is survived by: his wife Elma Carlson (Ymker); his daughter Sara Miller (Jason); and his grandchildren, Jason Carlson (Anita), Kevin Carlson (Stacie), Destiny Durham, Kane Niehoff, Vanorah, Kinsley Carlson, Jack Bickett, Taye Carlson, Roscoe, Myla and Griffin Miller.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Peace Lutheran Church (5509 W 41st St, Sioux Falls, SD 57106).
