He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Conway Carlson and Lois Ione Carlson (Ellefson); his in-laws, Elmer and Joanne Ymker; his brother Gary Carlson; his nephew John Carlson; and his sister-in-law Joyce DeKock (Ymker).
He is survived by: his wife Elma Carlson (Ymker); his daughter Sara Miller (Jason); and his grandchildren, Jason Carlson (Anita), Kevin Carlson (Stacie), Destiny Durham, Kane Niehoff, Vanorah, Kinsley Carlson, Jack Bickett, Taye Carlson, Roscoe, Myla and Griffin Miller.
