He was predeceased by: his parents, Miles Curtis and Ardis Curtis (Joy); his father-in-law Robert Niles; his brother-in-law Larry Hurley; and his great-niece Harper Waklee.
He is survived by: his cousin Valerie Niles; his children, Culynn Dean and Tyann Elizabeth; his wife Valerie; his children, Meg Curtis and Clay Guardipee; his grandchildren, Oliver and Margo; his siblings, Carol Hurley of Bellevue, NE, James Curtis (Peggy) of Watertown, SD and Michael Curtis of Sioux Falls, SD; his mother-in-law Phyllis Niles; and his siblings-in-law, Roberta Bruns (Bob) of Plankinton, SD, Peggy Hoffman (Larry) of Plankinton, SD and Vernon Niles (Mary) of Plankinton, SD.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Sherman Center. A prayer will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
