He is survived by: his wife Mary Gorter; his children, Lawrence Van Hofwegen (Lois) of Castlewood, SD, Connie Van Groningen (Bill) of Tinley Park, IL, Ann Sprik of Hardwick, Deedre Sorvaag (Joe) of Houston, TX and Dixon Van Hofwegen (Lisa) of Houston; his siblings, Case (Albertha), Arie, John (Jessie), Herm (Joan), Mart (Bernice), Bob (Dee) and Carl (Joyce); and his sister-in-law Tracy Van Hofwegen. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren.
