He is survived by: his significant other Henry Scholten; his daughter Amy Ruegsegger; his husband Michael of Woodbury, MN; his daughter Angela Stene (Owen Whitehouse) of Washington, DC.; his siblings, DeLynn Stene (Colleen) of Alcester, SD and DeAnne Mulder (Larry) of Mountain View, MO; his brother-in-law Dennis Treiber (Mary) of Sioux Falls, SD; and his grandchildren, William Ireland, Alexander Ireland, Katelyn Ruegsegger, Erin, Nicholas and Jack Whitehouse.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the Zion Lutheran Church Foundation, the Children's Home Society of South Dakota or the charity of your choice.
