He was predeceased by: his parents, Norris Nelson and Frances Nelson; and his brothers, Norris, Brian Nelson and Larry Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Nelson; his daughter Stephanie Friesen (Scott); his stepchildren, Scott Baker (Kristy), Shannon Barnes (Wade), Michael Melcher and Michelle Melcher; and his brothers, Terry Nelson (Shiela), Rick Nelson, Rod Nelson (Carol) and Duane Nelson (Connie).
