He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Otten and Katie Otten; and his sisters, Dolly Beyer and Kaye Hawley. He is survived by: his wife Anita Otten (Olson); his children, Kim Otten (Yvonne), Cynthia Hadsell (Wesley), Julie Imhoff (Aaron), Jon Otten (Michele), Thomas Otten (Dody), Tanya Otten, James Otten (Lilia), Delores Bents (Cody), Joel Otten and Sara Otten; his sister Barbara Freiberg; and his brothers-in-law, Dale Olson and Harlan Olson (Del). He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
Because of Covid-19 a private family service was held for Dennis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to the Gideon's to purchase Bibles to make sure the salvation message gets out "because you never know when someone's ready".
