She was predeceased by: her parents, Elgin Merxbauer and Arlene Merxbauer (Huisman); her grandparents, Harry and Pauline Huisman; and her stepgrandmother Lorraine Blachford.
She is survived by: her sister Vicki Fields of Aurora, CO; her niece Virginia Judisch (Kevin); her children, Oliver and Vivian; her niece Megan Kennedy (Justin); her child Tucker; her stepfather Ronald Blachford; her stepsiblings, Ronette Stewart (Steve) and Mark Blachford (Belinda); her children, Schelbie, Aubrey, Bennet, Tanner, John Stewart, Keith (Brooke), Owen, Harper and Hannah Blachford; her friends, Holly Bresee and Peggy Namanny; and her pets, Daisy and Callie.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be sent to Our Savior's Lutheran Church, the Sioux Falls Humane Society, or the Journalism and Mass Communication Department at South Dakota State University.
