He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Witte and Margaret Witte (Pier); his siblings, Pier and Diane; and his great grandchild Zaiden David Engen.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Eric Witte (Jennifer) of Boulder, CO, Gail Larson (Jeff) of Vashon, WA, Lisa Dietrich (Andy) of Kelowna, Mary Engen (Stu) of Breckenridge, MN, Christa Horst (Bob) of Sacramento, CA and Jane Olson of Sioux Falls; and his stepsons, Steve Denevan of Overland Park, KS, Joe Denevan of Mesa, AZ and Jeff Denevan of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
