He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Fields (Pete) and Lois Fields. He is survived by: his wife Carol Yarnevich; his children, Christopher of Sioux Falls, SD and Katie Wilkinson (Brad) of Olathe, KS; his grandchildren, Caydence, Connor Fields of Sioux Falls, SD, Harper and Sophie Wilkinson of Olathe, KS.; his siblings, Tom Fields of Kansas City, Janie Gaunce (Chris) of Kansas City, Susie Phalen of Kansas City and Kate Fields (Pat Murphy) of Kansas City; and his siblings-in-law, George Yarnevich (Margaret) of Salina, KS and Anne Yarnevich (Bud Mackey) of Fairway, KS. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and cousins.
