He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy Runion and Ethol Runion (Wittrup). He is survived by: his sister Elaine Burgstahler (Runion); his wife Kathy Runion (Skogman); his children, Matthew, Amy Runion (Schrantz), Dave, Emmy Runion (Bertsch), Beth, Bryan Wells and Lina Joy Runion; and his grandchildren, Levi, Kate Runion, Grace, Micah, Joey Runion, Livi, Nick, Elise, Noah, Lincoln Wells and Nehemiah Runion.

The Children's Shelter of Cebu held a huge place in Daryl's heart and the family prefers memorials be directed to this life-saving ministry.
