He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Lester Fahrendorf and Marie Fahrendorf (Kranz); his children, David James of Sioux Falls, SD., Julie Carlson (Scott) and Dr. Eric Fahrendorf (Laryssa) of Sioux Falls, SD.; his grandsons, Jayson Scott and Joseph Scott Carlson; his grandparents, Michael, Mary Kranz, Edward and Blanche Fahrendorf; his siblings, Mary Lea Diamond and Doug Fahrendorf; his parents-in-law, George and Betty McInerney; and his sister-in-law Jean Sandstrom.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia McInerney (Patsy); his grandchildren, Nolan George, Lincoln Scott, Max Joseph Carlson and Adeline Marie Fahrendorf of Sioux Falls; his siblings, Dr. Donn Fahrendorf (Pat) of Sioux Falls, Dean Fahrendorf of Eagan, MN, Jane Hulbert (Jerry) of Edina, MN and Ann Fahrendorf Nelson of Parker, SD; and his siblings-in-law, Ed Diamond of Chicago, IL, Sharon Fahrendorf of Sioux Falls, Maureen Rasmussen (Dick) of Lennox, SD, Ann Chicoine (Pat) of Watertown, SD and Ted McInerney of Elk Point, SD. He is also survived by 27 nieces and nephews, and countless cousins.
