It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Curt Schafer of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, born in Tracy, Minnesota, who passed away on December 16, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Edward Schafer; his siblings, Gwen Watson, Raymond and Calvin Schafer; his daughter Susan Winklepleck; and his brothers-in-law, Wallace and Gary Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Schafer; his daughters, Laurie Schafer (Dwight Hill) and Lisa Schafer; his grandson Hunter Winklepleck (Martha); and his great grandchild Susanna Mary Winklepleck. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
