He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Vollan and Clara Vollan; and his siblings, Ella Nelson, John M. Vollan, Berthine Quaas, Curtis Vollan and Donald Vollan.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Foss; his children, Rod (Karen), Annette V. Kerber (Dale), Sandra Ommen (Terry) and Brian (Kim); his grandchildren, Casey Ommen (Tiffany), Cody Vollan (Samantha Rodriguez), Corey Ommen (Elora), Carter Kerber, Breanna Vollan (Daniel Pacenka), Cali Kerber and Jessica Vollan; his great grandchild Lola Ommen; his stepgreat-granddaughter Emilia Rodriguez; and his sister-in-law Alyce Vollan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to First United Methodist Church, Stockyards Ag Experience, or Midwest Honor Flight.
