She is survived by: her husband Leon; her children, Todd Gerdes, Dawn Garcia of Sioux Falls, SD, Bagley Garcia of Sioux Falls, SD and Kari Garcia (Chris) of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandchildren, Taryn, Lexy, Andrew, Elizabeth, John and Alex; and her siblings, Rose Drye of Santa Clarita, CA, John Paulson (Ruth) of Carson, ND, Jim Paulson (Darlene) and Chuck Paulson (Lois) of Mitchell, SD..
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family will be used to purchase a memorial bench at Terrace Park in Sioux Falls to honor Joanne's life.
