Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Bunnie Wirt (Sioux Falls, South Dakota), who passed away at the age of 101, on February 12, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Berghuis and Hattie Berghuis. She is survived by: her husband John Wirt; her sons, Gary Wirt and Jim Wirt (Kristi); her daughter-in-law Gloria Wirt; her grandsons, John (Briana), Jesse (Hilary) and Justin (Chelyn); her great grandchildren, Caleb, Addie, Lylah, Hallie, Karter, Kinsley and Raelynn; her sons, Jack and Grey Wirt; and her siblings, Bill, Edward, Ben, Jack Berghuis, Ida VanderBosch, Bess De Boer, Alice VanderBosch, Nellie Leighton, Mable Scholten, Ruth Temple and Ester Doughty. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Asbury United Methodist Church (2425 S Western Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57105).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to UNICEF, honoring Bunnie's compassionate and giving spirit.
