It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty J Hovdenes (Sioux Falls, South Dakota), born in Sturgis, South Dakota, who passed away on June 14, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Earl Hovdenes; her parents, William Elder Bishop and Martha Arlene Bishop; her sisters, Joy Mehlhaff and Marcia Lewis; her son-in-law Danny Otten; and her friend Patti Lameyer.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Otten, Deanne Sampson (Dan) and Marcia Hovdenes. She is also survived by four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter; in addition to many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Betty Jeanne requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in Betty's name to the Sioux Falls Humane Society or to the Washington Pavilion.
