He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Carr of Estherville, IA.; his parents, Hugh Fonder and Erna Fonder; and his siblings, Lawrence, Hugh, Duane Fonder and Thelma Bjorkland.
He is survived by: his children, Tom (Nancy), Tim, Terry (Michele) and Mary Jorgensen (Marty) of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Katie Gilliland (Tyler), Thomas Jorgensen (Maria), Megan Jorgensen, Jessica Braga-Henebry (Michael), Alex Fonder, Heath Fonder and Samantha Fonder; and his sisters, Betty McVaney of Omaha, NE., Janice Cowles of Coeur and Diane Gallagher of Davenport, IA. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, a public funeral ceremony is not planned.
